From bytes to waves: team event at the lake
At GTW, we believe that a strong team is built not only through projects, but above all through shared experiences. That's why we try to bring the entire team together at least once a year – even though we work in different locations and are often involved in different projects.
These get-togethers are valuable to us because they create space for personal exchange, new perspectives, and shared experiences.
In 2024, we came up with something special: a sailing trip on Lake Balaton in Hungary. In fantastic weather, we boarded the boat together and enjoyed a weekend full of sun, wind, and water. The relaxed atmosphere on the lake provided the perfect setting for conversation, sharing ideas, and simply spending time together away from our everyday work routine.
Of course, a little competition was also part of the fun: we competed against each other in teams in a small regatta, cheering each other on and laughing at every turn that didn't quite go according to plan. But in the end, there were only winners – and not just on the water.
The grand finale awaited us on land: we took jeeps up into the surrounding mountains, where a breathtaking view awaited us at a winery. We ended the day together with good food, regional wine, and lots of conversation.
For us, this sailing trip was more than just an outing—it was a highlight of the year that brought us closer together as a team and showed us how valuable moments like these are.
